About Food Court at Santa Monica Place

Located at 1539 2nd St, Santa Monica, CA 90401, Food Court at Santa Monica Place operates as a food court serving Santa Monica in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

These businesses tend to have short hours built around lunch and early dinner rather than late-night service, so checking the listed hours before heading out in Santa Monica saves a wasted trip. Seating is often limited or first-come, and many locations lean toward takeout or delivery rather than dining in. Prices are generally lower than full-service restaurants in the same category, which makes this group a reliable option for a fast, inexpensive meal across California. Portions can be smaller at food-court counters than at a stand-alone restaurant, so ordering two items is common for a full meal. Many of these businesses are independently owned even inside a shared food hall, so hours, accepted payment methods and whether a counter takes online orders can differ from stall to stall within the same building.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (310) 260-8333. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, santamonicaplace.com.

Santa Monica is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Monica follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Nice food court. Lots of options and some outside seating with a view. Great place to come and eat while shopping.

No more food court, no more customers. This food court used to be a beautiful place to visit than to eat, but now they both disappeared! Instead, a single Chinese restaurant takes over the open and spacious outdoor and indoor dining areas of the old food court. People come to Santa Monica to eat and relax, then to shop. If you remove all the variety of restaurants in the food court, then tourists and local people can not come to food court eat and relax, and kids can not play, therefore, they just don't come to Santa Monica Place anymore. No wonder most shops have to be shut down in this used to be beautiful and crowded, landmark of Santa Monica. Right now, the only choice in the food court, it is a small Italian restaurant. Otherwise, you have to go to a Chinese restaurant and sit down to have a formal lunch or dinner. This is not the most tourists and local people want to do when they visit the Santa Monica Place. To remove the used to be beautiful and convenient food court, it is like to remove the heart and soul of the Santa Monica Place. Just to see, this used to be fun and crowded mall, it is most empty now.

The food court at Santa Monica Place is a cool and sanitary food court. Although it isn't too big, I believe that there is enough diversity in its range of cuisines for it to deserve 4 stars. From Asian cuisines such as Sarku Japanese bento boxes to French crepes from CrΓͺpeMaker to plain American burgers, the food court caters to a variety of tastes. The atmosphere itself is nice; you can choose to sit outside under umbrellas or inside. There are plenty of seats to go around. There is also a mini indoors playground for kids to play in.
